Is the Audi Q7 built on the same chassis as the Porsche Cayenne and VW Touareg?

I know that the Cayenne and the Touarge we built as a joint project, and the Q7 looks very similar and is made by Audi which is part of the VW compony. Is the Audi Q7 built on the same chassis as the Porsche Cayenne and VW Touareg? And they all came from one happy company called Auto Union. I would not buy the Porsche Cayenne, the Audi is pretty much on the middle. So the best bang for your dollars is the VW Touareg. Is the same technology with the same quality. Selection of engines, ride characteristics, stile features and comfort creatures depends on how much are you willing to pay or how much of an image you want to show. Is like Toyota, Nissan and Honda with their high end cars. An up scale of the lower ones sold at higher price. For those that want to show off wealth. Is the Audi Q7 built on the same chassis as the Porsche Cayenne and VW Touareg?Yes. Audi is a VW brand and Porsche owns a pretty large part of VW.Is the Audi Q7 built on the same chassis as the Porsche Cayenne and VW Touareg?VAG is the company which owns VW, Audi, Skoda, Seat

Porsche own a large percentage of VAG

Yes i they are built on the same chassis although i expect slightly modified.

see: The Q7, Touareg and Porsche Cayenne, also on a version of the same platform, all share a number of basic components, but the Q7 is the longest car of the three with the most interior space, and it also has a different four-wheel drive system. Whereas the Touareg and Cayenne have full-time four-wheel drive with a low-ratio gear set and lockable differentials, the Q7 has Audi's quattro system as in its conventional road cars. This does give full-time four-wheel drive as well, with a 40:60 torque-split to the front:rear axles under normal driving conditions, but there are no low-ratio gears; instead, it uses an auto-locking torque-sensing centre differential to send up to 65percent of power to the front or up to 85percent to the rear if one of the wheels starts to slip. It's a system designed more for sporty on-road driving than hardcore mud-plugging, though it's going to be more than capable of coping with most conditions: pulling a boat/pony trailer or reaching the ski resort, no problem. Is the Audi Q7 built on the same chassis as the Porsche Cayenne and VW Touareg?
Yes it does share the same chassis, but thats all. The Engine, transmission, suspension, and AWD system is made by Audi.

VW owns Audi, and Porsche owns about 50% of VW and they can control them since they own most of VW.

Porsche and VW were designed and started by the same man. Ferdinand Porsche-He made the VW Beetle and Porsche 356. These two cars are the firsts from VW and Porsche.

The Cayenne was made a year after the VW Toureg. They also only share the chassis. Porsche used there own engine and suspension and parts.
