Is it safe to remove my Audi instrument cluster?

I have a 2006 Audi A4 and there is a ton of dirt and dust somehow INSIDE the instrument cluster. I read online about how to safely remove it, and take it apart to clean it, and then replace it. I was wondering if there is any risk in this? Will my information somehow be affected? (Mileage, etc.) or is that info stored safely in the computer. Is it safe to remove my Audi instrument cluster? You will be fine. The instrument cluster is held in by two t-torx screw I believe size 25. Then just one wire that plugs into the back. Very easy to do and it will not affect any information. For it is like the monitor to your computer. It doesnt hold the information just displays it. Good luck.Is it safe to remove my Audi instrument cluster? Thanks for the question and answer. Where did you find the link%26gt;? I have the same problem.
