Audi A4 Point of the button behind the console that when pushed by the backseat passengers locks the doors?

Is it like a security feature so when someones coming towards the car to kidnap you or something you can push it? I just thought it was weird that they didn't put an unlock button too. This is on a 2003 Audi A4 1.8T.Audi A4 Point of the button behind the console that when pushed by the backseat passengers locks the doors? An additional possibility is that because the ecm can be programmed to unlock when the key fob is removed from the ignition, just like it can auto lock when the cars speed exceeds 10 mph, there would be no requirement for that feature when these selections have been programmed.

The trouble starts when there is a glitch or the ecm was not programmed at the dealer prior to first sale.Audi A4 Point of the button behind the console that when pushed by the backseat passengers locks the doors? The old a4's (like mine, 1998) only has one lock/unlock button inside the car and it is near the front driver window controls. This was changed in the B6 (your car) due to safety issues, ie not being unable to unlock the car in a crash if the driver is unconcious or if the driver themself has taken you prisoner, like i do to my friends heheheheheh

Edit - hmmm didnt see the lack of unlock.. that is very weird.. i thought it unlocked too...
