How do you turn off the fans in an 2009 Audi A6?

My buddy has a 2009 Audi A6 and he asked if I could help him turn the fans to the "OFF" posistion. I was like no problem! We fiddled with it for quite some time before giving up. There is no off button, we tried turning the fans down all the way we even went into advanced options but couldnt figure out how the heck to get the fans "OFF!"How do you turn off the fans in an 2009 Audi A6?Any time the A/C compressor is engaged, the fans will be ON to prevent boiling of the refrigerant. If you have an "econ" mode, (and I am sure you do) the fans should shut down, since the compressor is turned off. Try replacing your cooling fan switch, which WAS a problem in some Audi cars.
