I just bought an Audi A4 quattro s line with 57k miles on it. Should i get a powertrain warranty on it for 2 years an extra $21 a month ($1136.00) or 3 years for an extra $36 a month ($1850.00)? Since its a German car is it a good idea to get the transmission covered, or is it just a waste of money?Should i get a power train warranty on an 08 Audi A4 with 57k miles on it?No, you shouldn't. New cars rarely have any problems before 5 years.Should i get a power train warranty on an 08 Audi A4 with 57k miles on it?Heck no.
Get it inspected by a certified mechanic (not a biased dealer) before you buy it to tell you what the condition of the transmission is, currently.
Extended warranties are ripoffs, anyways.
A rebuilt transmission will cost you $1850 and you probably won't even need it in the next 3 years, so save your money.Should i get a power train warranty on an 08 Audi A4 with 57k miles on it?IMO buying that type of insurance is a waste of money. If you have had the car checked out by a good mechanic, then that is a much better idea than wasting your money on that kind of insurance.Should i get a power train warranty on an 08 Audi A4 with 57k miles on it?
3 universal truths in life.
1.Don't buy an audi.
2.Don't buy an extended warranty.
3. 2 Wrongs don't make a right.
