Bmw has been sitting for a yaer and will not start. What do i need to do to get it road ready?

I have tried charging the battery and I am giong to get a new one. What do I need to do to get the car ready to drive againBmw has been sitting for a yaer and will not start. What do i need to do to get it road ready?Like the first person said- a battery...maybe. have someone jump start you to see if everything else works first. you'll have to take it for a cruise for the alternater to charge it up the original battery. if after an hour or so of driving and the car doesnt start back up, you will need a new battery (i always get duralast batteries).

make sure all the tires are properly inflated- they'll lose pressure sitting that long.

check the oil, antifreeze/engine coolant, and rotors. rust will start on the rotors if the car isnt frequently used. the first couple miles will be a little rough on the brakes and rotors, but once you grind away the rust, itll go away if everythings alright.

and make sure no rust started anywhere else. if its a newer BMW (2000 at the oldest) rust shouldnt be a problem, but if its before 2000, it wouldnt be a bad idea to check for rust under the car. if your state requires inspection, youll have to get it inspected of course. that should be about it.Bmw has been sitting for a yaer and will not start. What do i need to do to get it road ready?I have made a lot of thought dead batteries come back to life by force charging them. If the battery is less than 5 years old you pretty much for sure can get it to come back to life.

Sometimes when batteries go all the way dead it takes a lot of amperage to get it charging again. If your charger does not have at least a 40 amp selection go to a parts place that charges batteries and ask them to put it on at least 40 amp for a couple hours. A lot of the time the battery wil come back to life.Bmw has been sitting for a yaer and will not start. What do i need to do to get it road ready?new battery should be it

batteries go flatline when just sittin there
