It is a used car, and it has stuff on it like old settings and information on it. I just want to reset it to factory settings.
Any help would be heavily appreciated!!!!How do you do a full reset on a Bmw (750li) iDrive?unplugging the battery will not work, the car is designed to remember all personal settings after a battery disconnect (time and date not included)
in order tor reset, you need to do a "master default reset"
to do this, you will need to go into service mode... which requires you to turn the control knob in a series of movements, much like opening a safe. i can not pot how to do this on a forum.. but if you email me, i can explain it to you, since this information is only supposed to be used to service technicians. once in the service mode menu, there is a simple "master default" selection, which will reset all of your vehicle and car key memories.

If that doesn't work there is likely a battery backup and you will need to take it to the dealer. Plan on paying at least 1/2 hour labor for this, so about $60. Don't pay more than 1 hr labor without checking with any independent BMW / Porsche / Audi / Mercedes shops in your area. German cars tend to be engineered in a similar way, but the interface to your 7-series i-drive is very proprietary to BMW.How do you do a full reset on a Bmw (750li) iDrive?Try removing the negative battery terminal overnight.
Once you connect it again, you would have to adjust the time and date
