I have a 2003 BMW F650CS that has been sitting for 2 years what will I have to do to get it on the road again?

I live in the middle of nowhere and the nearest dealership is ~6 hours away. I'm not a certified mechanic but I used to work on my dirt bike back in the day, approximately 10 years ago. It was ran in 2009 but only for about an hour. I since have moved from hawaii to texas and it is warming up and want to ride again. Please help!I have a 2003 BMW F650CS that has been sitting for 2 years what will I have to do to get it on the road again?Winter storage in Wisconsin means learn to get ready to ride every year after not being able to go in snow. So, first thing is check under cycle for leaks, (sometimes the gas tank valves left on) and then check tire pressure, look for cracks. Battery fluid level and trickle charge might save battery after 2 years setting. Pull spark plugs carefully, clean or replace and while plug is out lube piston/cylinder walls with tablespoon of engine oil or couple shots of WD40- try to turn engine through couple up and downs by kick or engage gear and push. Engine oil and tranny oil will need changing, save the used oil in capped container- will have a non-PC suggestion for it later. Gas tank- likely need to drain old gas and replace- I use non Ethanol Premium with a splash of SeaFoam in it for my initial runs, have used a shot of 2 stroke oil in fresh gas a few times also- helps with upper cylinder lube and free rings after setting. Chain maintenance- recommended chain lube is good-- but many of us snowbirds will use a blast of WD40 in beginning of season, do a 1st run then heavy spray the sticky cycle chain lube. Some of us have been known to use the engine drain oil on chains also. Switch's and cables- WD40, CRC ElectroKlean, PB Blaster or 3in1 oil have all been used. Get a manual and read it a couple times.I have a 2003 BMW F650CS that has been sitting for 2 years what will I have to do to get it on the road again?Go to f650.com (the Chain Gang) for all things and information about BMW F650s.
