I just got a 2006 BMW 330i and i was just wondering whats good about it?

So my dad just bought me a 06 BMW 330i, and i was just wondering about some information on the car. Like Horsepower, torque, anything cheap i can add to the car to give it some more Horsepower since to me its a little low when try to go from 0-40+. i was just wondering if there is anything i could add that is kinda cheap to make it go faster to around 300 hp+. thank you.I just got a 2006 BMW 330i and i was just wondering whats good about it?I recommend one of the forums (see link). The 2006 model was the first of the new shape, but they only made the 330i for a year, replacing it in 2007 with the 335i which had more HP (300).



I always recommend that you leave your vehicle alone and not modify it. If you are ever in an accident and your insurance company finds you upped the horse power, you could find yourself in a world of legal or financial pain. Increasing the performance of a car is one of the quickest ways to invalidate your insurance.



If you want more performance, try sport mode. Slide the shifter (assuming its automatic) to the left like you were going to manually change gears with the + or -. The car should show DS on the display between the dials. Now you have told the car that you want more sporty response. You should find it a lot more urgent in this mode, although don't expect to conserve gas.



Speaking of gas, make sure you are using premium. Regular will severly retard performance.



The bottom line is that this is a classy and very good car, and a generous gift from your father. In its day, it was top of the award winning 3 series line. From most horsepower to least, you can upgrade the cams/VANOS system, cat-back exhaust, add a cold air intake, and put Type R stickers on it.
