What is the best way to get at the starter motor of an 83 BMW 320i?

The starter motor doesn't work anymore so I have to replace it, which direction should my plan of attack come from the top or the bottom?What is the best way to get at the starter motor of an 83 BMW 320i?first clean your battery cables and try to start it again and after that you remove batteyr cable and acj th ecar up and slide under it remove two bolts and let it down and remove wiring sometimes you might have to remove something esle if its in the way of getting it out really not a hra djob buy always check and clean your cables or have it check first so you know if thats what it really is
