Who owns a BMW M3, M5 or M6? How old are you and what kind of job do you do?

Hey. I just wanted some motivation. I want a BMW M3 for my first car, or even a BMW 3 series. what is your age? How great are they, and do they burn wholes through our wallets?Who owns a BMW M3, M5 or M6? How old are you and what kind of job do you do?I'm 23 and I have a 95 M3. I started with a 2000 Mazda Protege then had a 2003 Acura RSX then a 95 325is. I still have the Mazda.

Do not start with the M. Please, do yourself and the car a favor and wait a little. Even if you have a starter car for only a year you will see great improvements in your driving.

I hate to see people getting hurt in cars they may not be ready for. The M3 is definitely one you can get in big trouble with. Depending on the model M3 you get you get varying degrees of snap over-steer that can be the end of you and the car if not controlled properly.

I also hate seeing a car that will go many, many, more miles getting damaged or destroyed by someone. These are performance tuned machines, you will have maintain them like one.

Also, if you go with an older M like mine, if you hit anything, or anything hits you, you car is totalled. No questions. It's done. No insurance will pay to fix these cars because the value of the car is less than $10k. Repair costs tend to climb very quickly with body work.Who owns a BMW M3, M5 or M6? I have a BMW 325i and I just turned 21. The nice thing is you don't have to pay for maintenance so thats a huge advantage. I gamble and go to school its a wonderful life.Who owns a BMW M3, M5 or M6? How old are you and what kind of job do you do?IMHO First, let me say that the M cars would probably not be the best choice for a first car. You're first car will inevitably get beat up while you're learning the ropes and they are expensive to repair. Also, these cars are pretty high horsepower rear wheel drive cars, and while they tend to under steer, its very easy to get into trouble by overestimating your ability to control the car.

At 21, my first BMW was a '89 325i convertible and it was great. I drive an M3 now but I miss the 325 for its light weight and nimbleness. The free maintenance on the new BMWs are a big plus, but I would look for a relatively low mileage 325, 328, or even 330 from 2000-2002. A car with a solid maintenance history will last a long time and be pretty much problem free.

I'm 31 and work in management in a chemical manufacturing facility BTW.
- I have a 3 series, and a roadster. Each of them cost around $500/yr to maintain. Sometimes, I pay $1000/year.Who owns a BMW M3, M5 or M6? How old are you and what kind of job do you do?I have a 2004 M3 Convertible with SMGII. I only use this car for outings and on long drives. I also use it on the track and sometimes autocross.

I'm in my early 40's with a relatively young family. I have another daily driver (Integra) for everyday use. The M3 is used on weekends, track days, %26amp; cruising.

They are expensive to maintain and own but, they are also the best value for money for this level of performance.

If you are not opposed to purchasing used, the 94-99 M3's are relatively cheap now and you can get into a 94-95 M3 for around $15k.Who owns a BMW M3, M5 or M6? How old are you and what kind of job do you do?
I'm 17 but I drive a 1997 740i. I was looking at M3s though, but I couldn't find one that I could afford that wasn't beat up or high-milage. But I do love my 7. It's big, comfy, and has classic good looks. Not to mention BMW's legendary handling!

Just a heads up: BMWs are pretty reliable if you take care of them, but when they DO break...they are REALLY expensive to fix. Mine cost me 580 bucks for a water pump and another 500 for some electrical thing that went wrong and messed up the security system, windshield wipers, and other electrical stuff in the car. Otherwise it's a really good car and I love it.

All I do for a job is type. I work 4 hours a day and make about 9 bucks an hour. That's why I had to get an old one. Plus my 'rents pay for my gas so that's nice. ;)
when i turned 16 i got a 1994 bmw 318is

when i turned 18 i got a 2000 bmw 323ci

when i turned 19 i got a 2002 bmw 325i

but now im 20, and when i turned 20 i got a 2002 bmw m3, and i work as a 911 dispatcher. I LOVE BMW'S and i REFUSE to drive anything else.

my next bmw i want (hopefully when im 25) will be a 650i

and yes they burn a hole in my wallet! lol. not so much the payment, but the actual up keep is a lotWho owns a BMW M3, M5 or M6? How old are you and what kind of job do you do?
Yes I own a BMW m3. I'm 18 years of age. I work for Rolls Royce. The car is my life. Amazing riding in it. Ehh I havnt had to burn my wallet too bad yet. I did have to replace a headlight, for $400
I own neither. I have 2001 Mercedes C320. Its better than owning an M or an AMG or a Brabus. At 24 I don't see any reason to own a more expensive car whatever job you have. Not being married and not having any children helps with burning a hole in my pocket.
