Going to Chicago this weekend....?

Hey Chicagoians... I'm coming over there this weekend (suburban Detroit) and I'm looking for cool places to hit/eat. My fiance` and her cousin are going to the Pink concert (blech) so my friend and I are going to the White Sox/Tigers game. Need some cool places to eat/drink/see.

I've heard Gino's East has the best Chicago style pizza, but what else is there?

Check out Rush St., right downtown, for rows of fun bars. For food,

Grand Luxe on Michigan Avenue, upstairs from Ann Taylor Loft, is great! Huge menu, great atmosphere and if you can get a window seat, great to people watch.

Want fun, crazy atmophere and good burgers (not to mention, a great drink menu)? Hamburger Mary's in Andersonville (on Clark) is a ton of fun! Drag Queens galore and they are a riot. And yes, Andersonville is IN the city of Chicago.

The best pizza, in my humble opinion, is at Geno's North on Granville. No relation whatsoever to the Gino's you hear about.

It's a small, neighborhood bar, so old school and cozy and their pizza? AMAZING! Unlike traditional Chicago deep-dish, their's is a cracker crust and it is simply delicious. This is coming from someone who doesn't even like pizza! Worth the cab/train ride up to Edgewater!

The area around the stadium is eh. On the other hand, if it was a Cubs game, I would suggest just staying in Wrigleyville because that is a booming, fun neighborhood. I would head north after the Sox game. The southside gets way to dicey...atleast for my tastes. Have fun!!!Going to Chicago this weekend....?
Check out the lakefront, downtown, and, at Roosevelt and Union ave,

the best Chicago style hot dog, or Maxwell Street Polish sausage.

If you've never had a Chicago style dog, or a Maxwell St. Polish, you

have to go there. Two places, Jim's, or the Express Grill. Both are

open 24/7, in case you are hungry after getting a little inebriated.

This is only a few miles north of US Cellular.Going to Chicago this weekend....?
Your weekend sounds like mine. We are going from Troy to Chicago to watch the Tigers. We are going to Duffy's in Chicago to watch the UM game. The place is all Michigan fans.

Giordano's has the pizza; Ann Sathers and Ed Debevics are fun restaurants; Excalibur is a great club. Second City is also fun.
