What do you think of Lou Malnati's pizza?

is it better than Giordanos or Ginos East or Ricobene's? gimme your reviewWhat do you think of Lou Malnati's pizza?
Lou Malnati has the 2nd best deep dish pizza which is still a pretty good rating. It has an additional benefit of having many locations. The pie is better than the others you mention.

Gino East has a great pie but sometimes it is too greasy

Giordano also has many locations which is a plus. My favorite pie is the small personal one only served for lunch

Ricobene has been around the longest but is better known for the Sicilian breaded steaks.

If your looking for a Chicago deep dish pizza, the place where it was invented has the best recipe...almost identical to Lou Malnatti's since he tended bar there for many years and then stole the formula and opened his own place. The place? Pizzeria Uno...not the chain but the original 2 places. Pizzeria Uno @ 20 E. Ohio and Pizzeria Due @ 619 N Wabash. What do you think of Lou Malnati's pizza?
I think it is over rated, but I have never really liked the super thick pizzas. Giordanos is the most flavorful and has the best crust to me.What do you think of Lou Malnati's pizza?
Pretty good deep-dish but not the best in the city.

I don't know how many times I have to say this but Giordano's is NOT deep dish--it's stuffed, which is a completely different animal. Great pizza, just not the same thing at all.

Uno and Due, which used to have the best deep dish in the city, have become pure swill. Plastic, touristy garbage that embarrasses the city with its very existence. I don't know what happened to those guys over the years but their pizza is just awful.

Since you only asked about Lou's I won't get into what I think are the best in the city, just that Lou's is pretty good and a fair representation of "true" Chicago deep-dish. 3 stars out of 5.

Oh heck, I'm feeling generous and there just aren't that many good deep dish pizzas left in the city. 4 stars.
The only pie pan pizza i like but funny thing their frozen at home cook pizzas taste better than fresh and half the price!
