Things to do in Philadelphia?

Hey guys. My girlfriend and I are going to Philadelphia this Tuesday just to kinda hang out for several hours. Actually more like for all day.

We're taking the train to the market east station, and probably going to head down to south street. What recommendations do you all have for things to do, places to eat at [besides the typical gino's and pat's], etc. I'm 16 and she's 17, we live in the pa suburbs. Museums are boring and just so... blegh, so please, no museums. Ohh, and everything should be in semi-walking distance, meaning no more than a few miles away.

If you need to know more from me, please ask away!

Thanks for any help..Things to do in Philadelphia?
you should def check out eastern state penitentiary if you havent been yet. you can walk aroudn freely during the day and its still very eerie.

also you can go shopping on walnut street, have ice cream at capogiro http://www.capogirogelato.com/main.html best ice cream ever and sit by rittenhouse square

just south street in general, it has something for everyone
There is not much to do on South Street unless you want to shop or eat. Most of the tourists head to Old City where there are museums and you mentioned you don't want to that. Maybe a horse and carriage ride or ride the ducks? You can purchase tickets at 6th and Chestnut Streets. Alot of teenagers like to hang out at the Gallery Mall at 9th and Market Streets. Maybe you could do one of the cruises on the Spirit of Philadelphia. Look it up at www.spiritcruises.com. They serve lunch. Or take the ferry over to the NJ State Aquarium. It can be fun if you make it!Things to do in Philadelphia?
