Does anyone know where to get complete schematics for BMW audio ?

Greetings,

Does anyone have any idea where I can get wiring diagrams, speaker size and ohms, ect. for my 2006 BMW 325i The dealer parts and service dept , as well as BMW North America have no idea,Does anyone know where to get complete schematics for BMW audio ?www.realoem.com, or www.e46fanatics.com. The second is a forums which has thousands of members and thousands of posts, search for you answer and you will get many CORRECT responsesDoes anyone know where to get complete schematics for BMW audio ?They (BMW) have all the info you need. But they are not obligated to give you any. No car manufacturer will.

But first, what type of audio/radio system do you have? There are so many types like the professional cd radio, ASK, MASK, CCC (this one with the video display and Navigation). In some units, the amplifier and tuner are separate from each other. In some the TCU/TEL (communications module) has a say on audio functions). And what brand and how many speakers does your car have (with Harman Kardon logo on front doors, or none)? But you can easily get the ohms by taking off the door trims and the rear parcel shelf. Which is which among the basic wires can also be found by the old method of using a multimeter.

You see it is not a simple matter. And even if you have an ETM (wiring schematics), it is not an easy matter to put in aftermarket upgrades.Speaker wires sometimes are not directly wired to the amplifier circuit outputs but in a circuitous way through the front/rear controls. And audio unit changes usually causes checklights.

Better bring it to a really expert audio upgrader store, one that has lots of experience with BMW's. DIY is not recommended. Even an expert would not have an easy time with a BMW.
