What's up with the oil that have BMW LL-01 and what's the meaning of that?

i have a bmw and still covered by warranty and i don't trust the 15k interval oil change. So i decided to oil change it with 7k left.

is oil change is covered by warranty you got from the dealer or you have to pay for it??What's up with the oil that have BMW LL-01 and what's the meaning of that? You should have left well alone i have worked for BMW for many year and if that oil change interval wasnt suited to the engine or the oil they use bmw would have set a shorter interval. They use fully synthetic oil which is far better than straight mineral and it has a far longer life it has chemicals in it which helps to burn off any nastys in the oil keeping the engine cleaner. Dont tell bmw you have changed the oil as it may void your warrenty. If you havent put fully synthetic oil in your engine then do so as you will damage your engine. Hope this helps you. What's up with the oil that have BMW LL-01 and what's the meaning of that? Please note that when the manufacturers say 15k,the oil shud last more than that.So why waste money.

In the event if the engine gives trouble, you are well covered by warranty and dealers will take responsibility if your mileage below the 15k

In any case you have to pay for the oil and filter, even u change at 7k and at other workshops.

Is best you adhere to manufacturers advise.

choice is yours.take care,What's up with the oil that have BMW LL-01 and what's the meaning of that?oil changes are not covered
