Why does a BMW with the inline 6 engine have that race car sound?

it's to do with the whole set up and the type of engine and the vanos..value timing..only m3, m5 or m6 seem to have that lovely drone..but the z4 sounds good too! The mclaren F1 road car never chose to use 2 e36 m3 engines bolted together for no reason!Why does a BMW with the inline 6 engine have that race car sound?the bmw in line 6 is a high reving engine compared with other 6 ie holden v6 and ford in line 6 so it is more akined to f1 engine

its probably fitted with a K %26amp; N air filter along with a Scorpian exhaust

A bit, if you want the race car sound you need to have an engine that is from BMW's M division.Why does a BMW with the inline 6 engine have that race car sound?Because BMW is the Ultimate Driving Machine!
