BMW 3 series Vrs Acura TL which is good?

I'm planning on buying a used car and I'm torn between either the BMW 3Series or Acura TL (2003-2006) under 50k miles. I've done a couple of online searches for these cars and I must say that the Acura always comes out with way higher prices as compared to the BMW. So I want to know what's so unique about the Acura or does the BMW depreciate its value rea quick. I need some good advise between these two cars.
