How do you adjust headrests on BMW 2001 525i?

Somehow, mine has been pulled up quite high, and I can't seem to get it back down! I don't see any buttons to push to release it, just grooves in the support bars at intervals.How do you adjust headrests on BMW 2001 525i?there is a release button right nest to the pole, push it in towards the pole and at the same time push down the headrests, it doesnt look like a button its like a little plastic thing that surrounds the poles for the headrests
