Where is the fusebox in the 1998 bmw 316i compact?

I am particularly looking for the fuse for dashboard and facia lights. will this be in the engine bay or somewhere inside the car?Where is the fusebox in the 1998 bmw 316i compact?Your fuse box is located under the bonnet, it's a black plastic box with a flip cover.



There's a big lable underneath the cover showing you which fuse controls which circuit.



It's the one on the right side of this photo. Right in front of the firewall.

There are mulitple relays and fuses in this box.

For future reference, a good technical manual will be well worth the investment. Not only do you have more specifics in removal, or repairs, you also have the means to get answers in your own time, and learn more stuff just out of curiosity.

Would recommend, when you go purchase any needed fuses to have money on hand to either order a Technical Manual, or buy one from where you get the fuses.Where is the fusebox in the 1998 bmw 316i compact?most cars i've seen the fuse box is under the hood but i have also seen them under the dash some other places are at the molding by the passager door like by the floor board and or as you open your driver door right at the part where your dash and door meet
