How do I remove a fuel pump on a 94 BMW 525I?

I have removed the cover and disconnected the outer pump but there is another pump inside the gas tank that is not pushing gas out how do I remove this pump?How do I remove a fuel pump on a 94 BMW 525I?usually there's this hole where a buoy is placed for the fuel gauge try taking it off and see if you can pull out the pump from there. if it doesn't. no choice but to rip the tank open
