How much does a BMW dealership owner make?Despite the economy, an owner of BMW dealership will make a killing. Why? Because they make money on every car they sell, whether it is profit over the invoice, or profit on extras they sell at point of purchase like extended warranty, simonizing protecting coats for interior and exterior, gps/lo-jack theft protection, etc. (they typically make more on that than they do on the sale price) Plus they make a few bucks if they finance it for you as well. But that is just the start. The real money comes from getting return business in the form of servicing your vehicle and repairs and detailing. They make a killing on parts and labor. If they have more than 3 bays, and most do. Typical brake job on a BMW is about $700 for front and back. And about half of that is labor. Granted some of this stuff is covered with a new car, but after 4 year or 50k miles you eat it. So figure a dealership will make millions if they do reasonable sales and service. How much does a BMW dealership owner make?
