Are there any colors that would be cheaper?How much would it cost to get a flat black or a metallic black paint job on a used 3 series BMW?Flat black would be astronomically expensive, think in the range of $8,000-$11,000, which is what my uncle paid to get his old hot rod painted flat black. Mercedes offers that color for their special edition Brabus Black, and it's an $8000 optional extra. It's very hard to maintain, and even harder to paint it well. As for metallic black, it can be done for $3000-$5000. that would include all door jambs, inside the trunk and hood, and they should do a good, detailed job, (under the door handles, under any hood emblems...)

Do research on any place you are considering letting paint your car. Think of it as an investment, you don't want just any loser in control of your car's future resale value.How much would it cost to get a flat black or a metallic black paint job on a used 3 series BMW?Economically you can get a decent spray of flat black for like $300-500, and about $1200 for a sealer/clear coat, and it should last a few years.
